Yes. As we are an operating farm, Tuesday through Friday an appointment is needed from 9am - 5:30pm to ensure we are available to help when you arrive.

No appointments are needed on Saturdays as walk-ins are welcome from 9am - 5:30pm

Our list of available chickens is always alternating between the 50 different breeds we raise throughout the year. Each month we place 2000 chicks of various breed types which ensures we always have a variety of ages and breed types available every week.

No. There is no minimum amount of chicks to purchase. You’re welcome to take home 1 or 100!

We accept cash and credit/debit card for payment. There is a 3.5% fee associated with all card transactions.

A sexed pullet is a chick that has been identified as a female soon after it hatches. This technique is 90% accurate on average meaning the large majority of all our standard size layer breeds are pullets (females) with a 10% chance of cockerels (males)

All our standard size layer breeds are sexed pullets within 90% accuracy. This excludes Turkeys, Guineas, Waterfowl, Bantams and Meat birds. These breeds are always straight run.

Though our sexed pullets are not 100% guaranteed, we do have an option to help protect your investment if a surprise rooster is discovered. Once a cockerel or rooster is identified, for a $5 fee, we can take your rooster back and exchange him for an equal aged female. We cannot guarantee the breed but we can guarantee a female at the age males are identifiable.

We recommend our custom formulated NonGMO feeds to ensure maximum nutritional value for your flock. Choose from Charley’s Chicks Pullet Starter for chicks up to ready to lay pullets, Charley’s Chicks Layer Pellet that is seasonally adjusted for laying hens in the North Florida region and Charley’s Chicks Broiler Starter/Grower for optimal targeted growth for meat birds.

Yes. We have complimentary chick boxes for chicks under 4 weeks of age.

For older pullets over 4 weeks of age, we offer a $3 box that can hold 8 - 2 chickens depending on age and size.

At Charley’s Chicks, we aim to protect your investment in backyard chickens therefore we offer a 5 day guarantee on all our poultry.

In the event a chick or older chicken dies of unknown causes within 5 days of purchase, we require a submitted picture for our records of mortality and we will replace your bird free of charge.
